Dr Gerard McLaren

Gerry McLaren is a senior consultant in rehabilitation medicine. He has been involved in managing some of the most complex clinical challenges in Australian society, often in remote or regional communities. For many decades he has worked with complicated diabetics, amputees, and people with complex musculoskeletal disorders. He has a thorough knowledge of foot and leg biomechanics. Gerry has also had extensive involvement with people who have neurological problems, including traumatic and acquired brain or stroke survivors.

Dr Lavina D’Silva

Dr D’Silva is a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist with over 20 years’ experience working in mental health services. She has worked in public inpatient and community mental health services in Australia and Ireland, as well as in private practice.

Dr D’Silva is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatry, specialising in Child, Adolescent and Family Psychiatry.

Dr D’Silva offers assessment and treatment of anxiety disorders, mood disorders, psychosis, eating disorders, as well as other behavioural and emotional conditions.

She emphasises the importance of a holistic framework when working with children and young people, including a whole family approach, collaboration with other health professionals including GPs and allied health and drawing from current evidence-based practice.
